Great place! It is as beautiful as it appears in the pictures (or more!). They were great at accommodating a (celiac level) gluten-free diet! Djeno and Frantz were very helpful and communicating with them was easy. Their guide book is extremely thorough. Despite being next to the road, noise was very minimal, especially over the beautiful sound of the waves! The consistent electricity was really appreciated. I could never tire of those sunsets over the ocean from our private balcony!

From booking to the airport drop off, the communication and hospitality was outstanding. Djeno was so responsive, courteous, and helpful.
 
Frantz is delightful - he possesses an infectious joie de vivre and ensures that the stay feels like a home away from home. He arranged several outings for us with drivers who were caring, responsible and knowledgeable. He even arranged for an opportunity for us to donate school and health supplies to local children - a very heartfelt event.
 
The staff was very sweet, even with the language barrier - Daveed was especially helpful, always aiming to please.
 
The studio apartment was spacious and comfortable - the views breathtaking. The inn’s grounds are gorgeous. And the food - OMG - delicious and healthy.
 
Our Easter break exceeded our expectations; magical, reflective, tranquil and synergistic. We met lovely people who touched our hearts. And we even got to experience a few Raras!! Mèrci beaucoup - Souple anpìl Coterelle Breeze family!!

If you are looking for a rustic getaway this is it! The rooms are very pleasant, the beds are comfortable and they are so close to the water the sound of the waves puts you to sleep. We left our windows open at night and the breezes kept us cool. The hammocks and common areas were very comfortable. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, the food was slow, but very good.

The location of Coterelle Breeze is wonderful. It's right on the water (but has no beach access), but the crashing waves provided great ambiance. The staff was helpful, and the room was clean. I had the griot pork for dinner, and it was quite good. Order well ahead of when you think you'll be hungry (1-hr plus). Bring your own potable water for convenience and tooth brushing. CB is an excellent facility to unplug and get a taste of Haiti at its best.

Coterelle Breeze was a perfect spot for our 5 days in the Jacmel area. The studio is totally private with Wall-to-wall windows directly over the ocean. The shared spaces are relaxing and beautiful and the staff is friendly, helpful, and always available. Franz was a joy and answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome and comfortable during our first trip to Haiti. He even had fresh lobsters caught for my birthday and surprised me with a delicious cake that evening! The location is 5 minutes from a nice beach and about a half hour from the city of Jacmel. I would definitely recommend staying here!

First of all I have to say how amazing Frantz is. From the airport pick up to my whole stay in Haiti he made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. I'm so thankful for him! (I'm a woman and I traveled alone) He speaks great English and is very very fun and friendly! Staying here was so relaxing. The ocean is like 6 steps from your room. It's so peaceful especially at night. I even caught the sunrisung and going down BEAUTIFUL! Just thinking about it all is making me want to come back. Thank you for the wonderful experience of Haiti I will be back and with friends!

Staying at cBreeze was truly amazing. Felt like we were in paradise! The location is truly amazing, you can't be in a bad mood there! Perfect place for a beach getaway, a little far from the city, but there's still plenty to do. If you are looking for a play to just lounge, read, relax, and enjoy some delicious food this is the place for you!Our host was so wonderful, helped us find a boat to explore the coast out on the beautiful ocean, was very accommodating and helpful the entire time. It's nice and quiet, you feel very safe, and like you're at your very own vacation home. It's very hard to leave! Really cannot say enough good things about cBreeze, we plan on staying here every time we go to Jacmel. Strongly suggest it!

Franz was an amazing host, he is knowledgable, speaks perfect English, and went out of his way to make my trip comfortable, I was in Haiti for work and dealing with some physical issues but he went out of his way to find me a massage therapist to get me through the trip, and dropped me off at my next location in Jacmel. The location is private, secure, in an amazingly beautiful location, well-kept and immaculate and simple. As in most of Haiti, wifi is intermittent. I woke up to the sounds of the waves breaking against the rocks, and the blue green Caribbean sea. I highly recommend Sea Breeze, and hopefully will return.

One-Value- Happy to say...It's real. The photos you see are actual photos of the rental and nearby beaches. Clean, running water, electricity, lovely grounds, oceanside, sandy beach nearby, free wifi, items you forgot or didn't know you'd need are available for purchase/rent. It's the least expensive hotel/vacation
 
Two- Customer service- Djeno was quick to respond to inquiries and eager to provide answers to any questions, even before I made a payment to reserve a room, and certainly after.
 
Three- Host- Upon arrival, Frantz picked up where Djeno left off, exuding enthusiasm for ensuring we had a positive experience in Haiti. He personally ensured our meals (which were extremely inexpensive) were prepared to our taste. I have a vegan diet and Frantz ensured my requirements were met. He even threw in Haitian/caribbean dishes, fruits, juices and veggies to give us a taste of Haiti on our plates. I will be heading to the farmer's market to find breadfruit, chayote and soursop this weekend:)
 
Four- Location-The ocean is right at your door! Lounging on one of the many hammocks on the grounds, sitting on your front porch or even in your room, the waves of the ocean are a constant soothing sound. Both me and my mother found it soothing...peaceful, our favorite aspect of the property and the primary reason we will be back. I'm a runner and started each morning w/ a run either toward Jacmel or Marigot, the ocean w/in view, followed by stretching and yoga, at the water :) For all of these reasons and more, we canceled our follow-on plans and extended our time here for two more days. Fortunately, there was availability :)

My friends and I didn't expect this property to be as breathtaking and picturesque as it ended up being. We stayed for 7 nights and Frantz (the host) was more than accommodating. He picked us up upon our arrival at the PAP airport and drove us 2 1/2 hours to his place.
 
As three young 21-22 year old girls traveling through Haiti without any plans, this property was the perfect place to stay because it was safe and we were provided with a ton of information about the surrounding area. I highly highly recommend taking the local tap taps and the motor taxi's to get around and even as three young girls we felt safe and secure no matter which one we hopped onto. The rides are necessary to get into the city center and tons of fun.
 
The staff was above and beyond helpful and did I mention the food was delicious?! The portion sizes are the best part. Highly recommend this place, especially since Frantz received his undergraduate and masters degrees in New York so we were able to relate to him and his stories as college students ourselves.

Coterelle Breeze is a gorgeous guesthouse on a small property right next to the ocean on a rocky beach. This is the most "on the water" you can possibly be. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in during our two weeks in Haiti and the large window opened up to a breathtaking view of the sea, palm trees, and the night sky. Though the weather is very warm in Jacmel, the light sea breeze and efficient fan allowed us to sleep comfortably (and without mosquito bites!). 24-hr electricity, wow!
 
This was a truly peaceful place to rest, read, and refresh after a week and a half travelling all over Haiti. But I haven't even gotten to the best part: the host and staff. Frantz gave us the warmest welcome when we arrived and spending time talking with him - learning about the joys and challenges of being a Haitian entrepreneur - was a real highlight of our trip. Frantz knows what good service is and he takes pride in creating an excellent holiday experience at a reasonable rate - he wants his guests to experience all Haiti has to offer and is a wealth of local knowledge from bus companies to restaurants to Jacmel's improvement projects.
 
Also, Jonas, another staff member, was exceptionally kind to us. Though we only speak "survival Kreyol" and he speaks little English, he was so patient with us and made us feel so welcome. What an asset to Coterelle Breeze! A note on additional costs: We arranged an excursion to Basin Bleu for $25 per person and Frantz drove us personally, did not rush us, and gave us an excellent history lesson on the drive. I thought this was a great value. The menu is reasonably priced ($10-$12 for entrees, $3 for delicious fresh juice, $6 for breakfast) and the meals we ate there were delicious and the portions almost too generous! Even without an included breakfast Coterelle Breeze was one of the best values on our trip and truly our favorite of the places we stayed.
 
Please consider staying here rather than at one of the more commercial hotels in Jacmel - you will be supporting Haitian owners who treat their employees well and who reinvest their earnings in the country. In this way you can help to grow the Haitian economy. Mesi anpil to everyone at Coterelle Breeze - we wish you the best of luck with your business and hope to visit again one day.

We took the airport shuttle the host is offering, it was convenient. Fritz, the local host, took very well care of us. We rented a motorcycle for the duration of our stay and loved it.
